Welcome to the new Arkane Systems weblog!

I'm Alistair Young, one half of the company. Arkane Systems was founded - or re-founded - at the start of October 2007, in Wichita, Kansas, by my wife Amy and I.

We're both skilled and experienced in a variety of ways, and the business will reflect that, once everything's up and running.  Our plan is to have four major divisions of work:

• Renaissance Information Systems: IT services, computer and network consultancy, custom software development, and other information services work, concentrating on small to medium sized businesses.
• Modern Scribes: Transcription, proofreading, copy-editing and other services dealing with text.
• Tiresias Research: If the information's out there, we'll find it for you.
• Craftwenches: Crafted goods, crochet, and hand-made soap produced the traditional way, and more to come!

Once we get seriously underway, we'll post semi-regularly here about our new projects and experiences in all of these areas.  We welcome all comments and questions anyone may have.
