And to my dismay, the world goes right ahead and provides me with a confirming example of my point; or rather, lets me discover same.

Anyone want to argue the case for not suppressing this kind of dissent, preferably with the firm introduction of nightstick to low-life skull?

Damned leftist filth.

I missed the bit where the culprits’ identity and motivation was established.

There’ve been a couple of incidents here lately where military memorials were vandalised; IIRC, both of them turned out to be motivated by alcohol and plain old idiocy rather than any particular political beliefs.

This is at least theoretically possible, at the moment.

However, the pattern is convincing enough that I’d say the probability of this not being the work of the Black Bloc or some similar group of scum doesn’t amount to more than a spitball in a hurricane.

I’m certainly not hurrying to bet against it. But although it pains me to say it, there are enough idiots on the left end of politics that you can probably get more than enough ammunition without needing to venture beyond the confirmed ones :-(

I don’t even bother posting the general line of ammunition; as you say, it’s plentiful, and sites like zombietime do a very good job of documenting most of it.

This, on the other hand, hit such a notable new level of vileness that I thought it was worth pointing up separately.
