Howdy, folks!
Well, as those of you following the Metaplace events calendar, or my Facebook events, will know, today’s the day for the “The Gathering Storm” book discussion over at the Library of Metaplace – starting at 2pm PST, 3pm MST, 4 pm CST, and 5pm EST, as appropriate. So, here’s a post to tell you how to get there at the appropriate time.
Firstly, if you don’t have a Metaplace account, you’ll need to get one of those. To sign up, just click here:
And fill in the sign-up form. You may want to do this a little bit in advance so you have time to go through the tutorial, but really, we’re all geeks here, right? Click a place to move to it, on a door to open it, on a chair to sit on it, on an object to use it. Type in the chat box to talk. Easy.
(No client to download, BTW. It’s all Flash in your browser, so, no worries.)
The actual discussion is being held in the coffee shop at the Library of Metaplace. For convenience, here’s an embedded version of the world:
So you can get there easily. You’ll probably want to “fullscreen” it, as obviously I’ve needed to use a fairly small format to fit it onto my blog. Once you arrive in-world, you’ll be outside the library – the coffee shop is inside the building, first door on the left.
Hope to see you there!
